Inspired by a group called The New English id seen at Birmingham interior design show, i was very keen to try my hand at applying my designs to ceramics. there are a few different options when it comes to adding decoration to ceramic and glass, the first I'm trying is hand drawing with air drying paint. About 50% of my designs were successful but i doubt there durability(its quite important to me to create a product that will last). i think if i continue down the path of ceramics i will get some transfers digitally printed and fire them on using the kiln, this will ensure all my designs are exactly the same and of higher quality.
This was one of my first trys with a porcelain pen, it was really easy to use and gave a nice effect. It was nice to see what my designs would look like when applied to a vintage plate before ordering any transfers.
